Braus has been associate concertmaster with the Utah Symphony for twenty-two seasons and is the delighted owner of a Peccatte School bow. "My new bow is a great pairing with my violin," remarked Braus. "I bring my violin to Bein & Fushi twice a year. John Becker is the greatest repair person. Ward Hansen is the best for rehairing. In 2004, the violinist took center stage as a soloist with the Utah Symphony playing Prokofiev's Second Violin Concerto conducted by Keith Lockhart. The performance brought kudos from concertgoers and critics: "Braus showed what a wonderfully talented musician he is. Braus ... captured the lustrous phrases in an interpretation that was seamless in articulation and delivery." (Edward Reiche, Deseret Morning News). The violinist has been an adjunct professor at the University of Utah School of Music for eighteen years. He also serves as concertmaster of the Recording Orchestra LA East, where he performed the violin solos on the soundtracks for the very popular "Zena" and "Hercules" series.
