A bow by

George F. Schwartz

Strasbourg, c 1830

Weight: 61 gms

Fine examples by this contemporary of François Tourte are extremely rare. This bow is the best one that we have seen. The round shaft is of dark red-brown pernambuco. The original frog and button are of silver and ebony. Its playing qualities make it well-suited for an artist.
