There are scarcely more than a handful of totally genuine gold and tortoiseshell bows by Peccatte. Formerly owned by one of the world’s leading collectors, violinist Zlatko Balakovic, this exquisite example is the best by Peccatte of which we are acquainted. The round shaft is made from light brown pernambuco. The stunning original frog is tortoiseshell with gold fittings and a pearl end eye. This Peccatte bow would be a stunning addition to a world-class collection.
