An exceptional cello bow by

Jacob Eury

Paris

Weight: 83 gms

S7959A

Jacob Eury was a contemporary of François Tourte and many experts find Eury's best work to be of similar quality. This bow is an outstanding example, one of the best we have seen by this maker, with a heavier weight, good strength, and more flexibility than those by later French makers, features that are also hallmarks of Tourte's work. Original in all of its parts with an octagonal stick of dark reddish-brown pernambuco, a pearl end eye, and a silver button divided by ebony, this bow is fit for the most discriminating collector or player.
