A cello byJ. B. MighettiGorizia, c 1763This maker's work is extremely rare and quite individual in character. It is reminiscent of makers from the Trieste School. The woods used to construct this cello are of native Italian origin. The varnish is of a dark, golden-brown color. Tonally, the instrument is sweet but not lacking in projection. Any fine musician would appreciate its character.
